Wet Paint! – My Latest Paintings

Today’s painting is of what appears on first glance to be a yellow rose. Upon close inspection however, its petals range in color from yellow-orange to white to crimson. It isn’t until you actually try to paint something that you truly begin to notice all of the subtle variety in the colors of nature. The flower is from a rose garden in our back yard.  The painting was done in oils on a 6″ x 6″ wood panel.
