Wet Paint – My Latest Paintings

Today’s painting (done several months ago) is of the Mission San Juan Capistrano. When we visited there last summer we found out that the swallows no longer come back to Capistrano. They don’t know exactly why – perhaps over development of the area. A biologist had installed some speakers around the mission to broadcast calls made by the birds in an attempt to draw them back. No luck so far. The painting was done in oils on an 8″ x 10″ wood panel.
